Culture and heritage preservation remain distinguishing and important features of Lacombe. Three museums are within walking distance from each other in the downtown core; The Flatiron Museum and Interpretive Centre, Michener House Museum, and the only fully functional Blacksmith Shop in Alberta. The downtown alleys and other locations in the community are home to countless outdoor murals, while the Lacombe Memorial Centre and City Hall house over 350 pieces of art in the public art collection. Commissioned sculptures can be found throughout the city as well.
Lacombe is home to creative guilds, community choirs and bands, dance studios, and theatre groups, and has produced musicians and performing professionals living around the globe!

Encore Annual Art Show & Sale
Each April, juried artists from across the province descend upon Lacombe to market their original works of art. You can find high-quality paintings, pottery, metalwork, fibre arts, hand-crafted jewelry, and so much more.
Encore Creation Station during Lacombe Days
Bring your children to the Lacombe Memorial Centre on Saturday during Lacombe Days in July. They can participate in many free creative activities and take home what they create.
Lacombe Culture & Harvest Festival
There are so many events occurring around Lacombe during this multi-day event in September, your family is going to have a ball! Enjoy arts, history, and agricultural entertainment.
Who doesn’t love Christmas lights and Santa Claus! This five-day event has a multitude of family-based happenings, including our famous Santa Claus Parade and the lighting of the trees in Lest We Forget Park at the Lacombe Memorial Centre.
