Councillor Torie Goings is a proud fourth-generation Lacombian who was born and raised in the community she continues to call home. For more than ten years, she has operated a successful small business, an experience that has strengthened her understanding of local commerce, economic development, and the day-to-day realities faced by residents and business owners.
Torie has been actively involved in community life for many years, contributing her time to local initiatives, events, and volunteer roles. She currently serves as a board director with Lacombe & District FCSS, helping to shape programs that support families, youth, and seniors. Her involvement with the Lacombe & District Chamber of Commerce has continued through an appointed position connected to her Council role, where she works to support local businesses, encourage responsible economic development, and promote a resilient local economy. As a member of the Rotary Club of Lacombe, she volunteers regularly, including assisting with food-bank initiatives that strengthen local food security. These contributions reflect her commitment to community safety, affordability, smart growth, and strong family values.
