From October 13-22, City staff will be going from neighbourhood to neighbourhood -- collecting household and yard refuse that cannot be placed in regular garbage bins.
To prepare, citizens should place all items for disposal in front of their property. Items must be placed by 7 a.m. on the day your neighbourhood is scheduled for pick-up (PDF).
Additionally, refuse must be separated into the following categories: brush and wood; leaves, sod and garden waste; metals; appliances including fridges, freezers and air conditioning units; furniture; swing sets and trampolines and e-waste.
City staff will not accept: unmanageable piles & piles not sorted or separated; hazardous waste; Construction waste; and cardboard.
