Development services focuses on ensuring current and future growth occurs in accordance with the stipulations of the Land Use Bylaw to facilitate orderly, economical and beneficial development and use of land and buildings within the City of Lacombe.
Council, the Municipal Planning Commission, and Development Services staff are involved in recommendations and/or decision making for development permit applications and the subdivision of land. Any appeals received objecting to the proposed development and/or any conditions placed on the Development Permit are heard by the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board.
Land Use Bylaw Amendments
Changes to the Land Use Bylaw are considered upon receipt of an application to re-designate land, add or delete permitted or discretionary uses and/or other amendments to the text.
