Our feature artist for 2023 is Margret Blank, an accomplished fiber artist from Central Alberta whose works have been featured in several exhibitions in Canada. In January 2021, Marg was selected with other Alberta-based artists to participate in “Art from the Unknown”, an online showcase of Alberta Artists.
Marg works with various threads, fibers, fabrics, and paints to create stunning dimensional works of art. Previously she created a three-dimensional installation titled Mark On the Body, which was created to show the harshness of living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Marg has participated in many of our arts events, and her work introduces our audience to another art form they may not be familiar with.
Marg will be speaking at 2pm each day.

The Artist’s Paint-off
It’s so much fun to watch artists in action! Starting at 6:30pm on Friday evening, you’ll be able to watch several of our artists as they create a painting from start to finish in 1 ½ hours! Once complete, the paintings will be put up for silent auction with the funds going to support the Lacombe Arts Endowment Fund.
Endowment Fund Presentations
Saturday at 4pm, join us for the Student Art Awards presentations. Four $250 awards, and four $100 awards will be presented: The Jan Holoboff Junior High School Art Award, The Charlie Donald Memorial High School Art Award, The Dustin Peers Memorial Drawing Award, and the Three Dimensional Art Award.
Awards will also be presented to those whose submissions for Arts Endowment Grants were selected by the Arts Endowment Committee.
Many thanks to our Partners – we couldn’t do this without your support!
Enjoy The Show!
