Grant Creasey grew up in Lacombe. He went to public school here, played sports, worked and established successful local businesses. He also met his wife Wendy here. They chose to make a life together in Lacombe, and have spent 19 happily married years in the place they are proud to call home.
Grant is an avid hunter, angler and outdoor sports enthusiast, and takes a keen interest in nature conservation and responsible environmental stewardship. He has volunteered for the Lacombe Fish and Game Association for over 35 years, and currently serves as program director. He is the past chair of the Lacombe Ducks Unlimited, and has been with them for over 20 years.
Grant also served on the Economic Development Board for the-then Town of Lacombe from 2000 to 2002.
Grant was first elected as Councillor in 2010, and formed part of the team that comprised the first Lacombe City Council. He also served as chair of the Lacombe Solid Waste Authority during its transition to a commission.
Grant was re-elected as Mayor in October 2017. He serves on the following municipal boards and committees:

- Lacombe Regional Waste Services Commission
- Municipal Planning Commission
- North Red Deer Regional Wastewater Services Commission
- North Red Deer River Water Services Commission
As your Mayor, I will focus my full-time efforts on ensuring your City government provides a family friendly community in a responsible manner that is respectful and financially sustainable.
I remain committed to reviving some basic democratic principles in our municipal government here in Lacombe. Any responsible government must be open to the public and accountable for their actions.
I do my best to educate myself on the issues, engage in healthy debate and participate in all meetings. I will always put the well-being of our community first and foremost!
