The Lacombe Fire Department (LFD), established in 1907, proudly provides fire and rescue services to the residents of the city of Lacombe, and a portion of Lacombe County. The LFD responds to approximately 225 calls for service each year.
The fire department is staffed by a full-time fire chief, and 35 paid-on-call volunteer firefighters. The department has a comprehensive training program, and members can achieve accreditation to professional competencies defined by National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
