The 2019-2020 Season will begin in the fall. Please check back for more details.

The Lifesaving Society’s Junior Lifeguard Club accommodates 6-15 year olds of different abilities. Youth are encouraged to develop skills based on personal bests in swimming, lifesaving, fitness, knowledge, leadership, and teamwork. The club provides high activity challenges in an energetic learning environment in the pool and on the deck.

There will be several opportunities for competing at swim meets throughout the season, wrapping up with JLC Provincials in April.

JLC SEA LIONS

This program builds physical fitness, practices lifesaving sport, and strengthens aquatic abilities. It is an action-packed challenge for swimmers who are looking to compete at JLC swim meets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to swim 100 meters comfortably
  • Encouraged to have completed Red Cross Swim Kids 4
  • Additional fees will be applied for participating in competitions. Competitions are optional but encouraged.
  • More detail will be provided at the parents meeting in the registration package

JLC PUPS

The perfect program for kids who want to work on their swimming abilities, first aid skills, and lifesaving techniques in a fun environment! This program offers swimmers the opportunity to expand their aquatic experience. It provides a social atmosphere while offering training opportunities. A great first step into the JLC world!

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to swim 25 meters comfortably
  • Must be able to tread water for 1 minute
