SOUTHEAST AREA STRUCTURE PLAN BYLAW 263.6 – Amendments to the Southeast Area Structure Plan

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Lacombe has given first reading to Bylaw 263.6, to amend Schedule A of Bylaw 263, Southeast Lacombe Area Structure Plan.

When is the Public Hearing?

If you would like to make comments on the proposed amendment, the Council of the City of Lacombe will be holding a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers location at 5432 – 56th Avenue, on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 5:35pm.

How do I get involved?

Any person or group wishing to express their views on the proposed amendment will be given the opportunity to make a presentation during the Public Hearing. Written submissions can also be submitted for inclusion in the Public Hearing.

All written letters or petitions regarding this amendment are to:
(a) Be filed with the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:30pm on Monday, December 10, 2018.
(b) Contain the names and addresses of all persons making the presentation, and
(c) State the name and address of all persons authorized to represent a group of persons or the public at large.

Please note that if this bylaw is adopted on December 10, 2018, Council will proceed with reviewing the Wolf Creek Crossing/Lacombe Market Square Outline Plan for adoption during the same Council Meeting.

ROAD CLOSURE BYLAW 465 – Closure of Road Plan 6716KS

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Lacombe has given first reading to Bylaw 465, for the purpose of closing to public travel and create title to portions of public roadway in accordance with Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26

LAND USE BYLAW 400.18 – Amendments to align the Land Use Bylaw with the amended Municipal Government Act

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Lacombe has given first reading to Bylaw 400.18, by adding and amending development requirements to ensure alignment with the updated standards set forth in the revised Municipal Government Act, April 1, 2018 consolidated edition.

Public Hearing – Request to Remove the Municipal Reserve Dedication from Lot 12MR, Block 1, Plan 002 1575 and Lot 10MR, Block 1, Plan 992 5122.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Lacombe has scheduled a public hearing for the request to remove the Municipal Reserve Dedication from 2 properties within the City of Lacombe. 

It is being proposed that Lot 12MR (shown as orange on the included aerial map) will be sold to an adjacent property owner at the current market value.  Lot 10MR (shown as pink on the included aerial map) will be designated as a lane.  Lot 10MR is currently being used as a lane for the adjacent residences.

All written letters or petitions regarding this amendment are to:
(a) Be filed with the Chief Administrative Officer no later than 4:30pm on Monday, January 14, 2019.
(b) Contain the names and addresses of all persons making the presentation, and
(c) State the name and address of all persons authorized to represent a group of persons or the public at large.

What happens after the Public Hearing?

Once the public hearing has been closed, Council will have the opportunity to discuss the request and all feedback they have received.  Council will be required to make a resolution to either remove the Municipal Reserve dedication or maintain the Municipal Reserve dedication.
