Mayor's Holiday Message
The festive season is a wonderful time for us to gather in celebration with loved ones. It gives us an opportunity to be thankful for our many blessings, and reminds us to lend a hand to those who are less fortunate.
As we draw near to the end of a turbulent year, that timeless message – of peace and goodwill to all – is now more important than ever.
In Lacombe, we are fortunate to have a great number of caring people who devote themselves to helping others, giving to charities, and volunteering for great causes. I want to thank everyone who reaches out to those in need, for making a positive difference during this special season of giving. Without your compassion and generosity, Lacombe would not be such a wonderful place to call home.
Thank you all for your many contributions, and for making a difference in the lives of our fellow citizens.
As your mayor, I am proud to serve with a dedicated group on City Council. Together with staff, we are committed to working with residents to keep Lacombe a safe and vibrant city. I consider myself fortunate to serve with such dedicated and passionate people, and I am confident that together we can overcome all challenges and achieve great things for our community.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge you, the citizens of Lacombe, for being engaged in the community, and for supporting our local businesses. I invite you to join us in continuing to create a vibrant, prosperous and inclusive community in 2020.
On behalf of Council and staff of the City of Lacombe, and from my family to yours, I wish you and your family a peaceful and safe holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
- Mayor Grant Creasey
