Council confirms CAO appointment
Lacombe, Alberta (September 12, 2018) – Council has confirmed the appointment of Matthew Goudy as the City of Lacombe’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective September 6, 2018.
“We congratulate Matthew on his formal appointment to the role of CAO,” said Mayor Grant Creasey. “His strong capability, long-standing familiarity with municipal operations, our regional partners and proven attention to fiscal responsibility positions Lacombe for continued success.”
Goudy was appointed to the role of CAO on March 6, 2018, after an exhaustive search and interview process. As part of the terms and conditions of employment, CAO Goudy was to serve a probation period of six months prior to Council confirming his appointment.
“These are exciting times for the City, as we have fresh faces in Administration and Council that provide us with renewed focus,” said CAO Matthew Goudy. “I am honoured to help lead the organization in implementing Council’s vision for the community.”
Prior to his new role at the City of Lacombe, CAO Goudy served as the Operations and Planning Services Director for the City from 2012-2018, and before that as the Engineering Services Manager for the Town of Lacombe from 2007-2012.
He also serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the North Red Deer Regional Wastewater Services Commission.
