Lacombe Police sieze drugs; arrest woman
Lacombe, Alberta (May 31, 2018) - On May 20, 2018, members of Lacombe Police arrested an adult female during a routine traffic stop. Police seized about $3000 worth of illegal drugs including; Fentanyl, GHB, Heroin, Cocaine, OxyContin and Percocet.
As a result, Kelly Dawn MANSON (30 yrs of age) from Red Deer, Alberta has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – seven (7) counts
- Possess Dangerous Weapon - one (1) count
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime - one (1) count
Manson was released on recognizance with her next court date scheduled for June 7, 2018, in Red Deer Provincial Court.
The Lacombe Police Service would also like to advise the Public that in the last few weeks of May we saw an increase in stolen vehicles reported in the Lacombe area. Police would like to remind the public not to leave your keys in your vehicles and to make sure to lock the vehicle doors. If you own an older model vehicle without electronic security features, we recommend using steering wheel locking devices or have an electronic security device installed.
