Take the 2018 Citizen Budget Survey
Lacombe, Alberta (July 17, 2017) – The City of Lacombe is committed to budgeting tax dollars effectively on what matters most to residents by seeking their input on key municipal services via the 2017 Citizen Budget Survey, which runs from July 17 to August 4, 2017.
“Council is looking forward to hearing from residents about their priorities for the community, and to possibly including some of their suggestions into the upcoming budget deliberations,” said Mayor Steve Christie.
“Lacombe is growing, and the City is adapting to meet the changing needs and service level expectations of residents,” said Financial Services Manager Justin de Bresser. “The Citizen Budget Survey allows the public to have their say on what’s important to them, and to show us where and how they would spend their tax dollars.”
The short survey focuses on the services supported by general municipal property taxes, including: emergency response services; recreation, parks and culture; solid waste and recycling; and water and wastewater services.
Residents can also weigh in with their top three most important issues facing the city.
Feedback gathered through the survey will be presented to Council for review and consideration during the 2018 budget deliberations in November. The survey results will also be shared with the public.
